Considering the fact that almost all of the vaccines manufactured by the various multinational companies and governments of various nations of the world were targeting Covid-19 virus strain that first emerged in China’s Wuhan, it would appear that with later mutations having taken place.
That too because the initial virus found resistance to infect and thus modified its genome sequencing so as to be more infectious, with the number of variants having developed, most of the infectious of which as far as fatalities was concerned was the Delta variant and although the Omicron variant became more widely infectious but did not claim many lives, because it was relatively milder, it should be borne in mind that variants such as the BF.7 and even later variants could lead to the fact that other more lethal viruses could become more infectious.
Thus measures have to be taken to prevent further spread of worse variants and infecting vaccinated people who have even taken booster doses. In light of this, discreet measures might still be taken as long as variants capable of breaching the protection of the vaccines become a threat which is in the realm of possibilities.
