Apropos to the news item “Benaulim coast to plan cyclone alert exercise” (The Goan Everyday May 04, 2022). The Benaulim MLA Capt Venzy Viegas bab deserves kudos for silently carrying out work that is useful to the poor across his constituency. The first time MLA has got his priorities right. Venzy bab takes up issues. He speaks up. He does the follow up.
Most importantly, he is always seen on the ground with his signature black outfit on “ a far cry from the politicians wearing white clothes. This is what matters in active politics “ the visibility round the clock and round the year. There are no holidays in active politics. Venzy bab knows this. This is why he comes across as a serious 'aamdaar' who wants to work and who has miles to go before sleeping. May his tribe increase to put Goa on the path of unprecedented development sans discrimination.
