Villages along coast can now heave sigh of relief

The Dhargal Village Panchayat has now reportedly granted provisional permission for Sunburn Festival despite of strong protests from Pernem MLA Praveen Arlekar and a number of villagers and which is set to take place from December 28“30, 2024. The decision was made with a narrow vote of 5 in favour and 4 against.  Well, it looks like the organisers of Sunburn must have succeeded in buying some panch members of Dhargal Village Panchayat with hard cash and have successfully turned the match in their favour. Of course, Pernem MLA Praveen Arlekar is still seen protesting and heard saying that he will not allow the Sunburn festival to happen at Dhargal under no circumstances. Now, whether he's really saying this from his heart or is simply doing his own 'time-pass' and misguiding the villagers of Dhargal over Sunburn, time alone will tell. Anyway, the villagers of Anjuna, Vagator, Candolim-Calangute can now heave a sigh of relief after hearing this wonderful news and enjoy their upcoming  Christmas/New Year season really in peace with less nuisance creating domestic tourists in their areas.
