The Goa Carnival, known as Intruz, is a vibrant celebration showcasing Goan culture. Open to all ages, it will be held from February 10 to 13, 2024. The carnival kicks off with King Momo Parades in major cities. Traditional dances like Kunbi and lively music performances adorn the parades. Boys in women’s attire entertain the crowd, while brass bands add to the festivity.
Colorful attire, masks, and playful traditions define the event. Villages host Konkani folk plays accompanied by music and storytelling. In Chandor, the Mussol Dance, invoking gods and celebrating history, is performed. Goans are urged to enjoy responsibly, joining the parades and village shows with friends and family.
