At many places on the Benaulim-Varca road, there has been settlement / washing away of the road surface and uncovered roadside cross drains. Exposed electrical cables within the damaged conduits are visible which are a danger to passersbys and vehicles alike. Moreover house owners resort to burning of dry leaves/ twigs and digging the ground outside their boundary wall for composting etc. which compromises the foundation of electricity and telephone poles in the vicinity causing them to lean at awkward angles; there is a very real danger of them toppling over. May I request the panchayat authorities to take note of these developments and rectify matters before some serious mishap occurs.
