This is with respect to the editorial, "Takeaways for BJP , Cong, RGP at LS Elections - Goan Everyday - June 6, 2024." That was an insightful, interesting editorial on the takeaways from the recent Lok Sabha elections. It has been hard work for both, the ruling dispensation as well as the opposition bloc. Yes, there are valuable lessons to be learnt from this election. For one, the ruling dispensation cannot take the citizens for granted and the opposition lightly. The ruling dispensation did go all out to retain their hold but the opposition INDIA Bloc also seems to have proved equal to the task and managed to provide a tough fight. The ruling dispensation must identify their weaknesses while the opposition bloc showed that despite the tremendous challenges they faced in the run up to the elections they have reached where they are today. And, it seems like turncoats also need to understand what it means to be loyal to their party and to the electorate. At the end of the day, what our country needs, as the world's largest democracy, is a stable government and strong & vibrant opposition.
