We need to respect every religion and live in peace

Recently Muslims throughout the world celebrated the birthday of Prophet Mohammed. An unknown person on social media made a comment against the Prophet which hurt the religious sentiments and all the Muslim brothers were out on the streets demanding the arrest of the troublemaker. After filing the complaint in Margao and Ponda, the Valpoi police department has arrested a man for his hate comments. I don't understand what is going on in Goa. We Hindus, Muslims and Christians have always stayed together for years in Goa taking care of each other's religions, festivals and celebrating them together with joy and happiness. I think this started happening when people of other States came to our State and in the name of employment made Goa their home. Every religion teaches us to love one another which we human beings should understand. Fighting for religion and spilling blood of human beings will destroy the peace among us. There are some groups and politicians who divide people in the name of religion and they are well paid to create tensions especially when elections are near.

We are just getting this so wrong. This type of cleanliness will not sustain. The government must realise that most garbage/ litter is generated by tourists and not locals. Locals know how to keep their wards clean. The government must begin with itself in so far as keeping its offices clean and inculcating the habit within its staff to clean their own work stations.
