Having lived abroad, I’ve seen how taxpayers’ money is used efficiently to build clean, well-maintained infrastructure like roads, hospitals and public toilets. In Goa, however, projects cost more yet remain shabby and poorly maintained despite high taxes. The Chief Minister says we shouldn’t depend on public funds ” but then why pay so much tax? Huge sums are wasted on inflated project costs, political freebies, and perks for ministers. There must be a legal system to hold elected representatives accountable for poor services and misuse of public money compared to the heavy tax burden on citizens.
