This is with reference to the report, "Canada police report multiple shootings.....- The Goan Everyday 26 July 2022." Close on the heels of the shootout in USA, comes a shootout in Canada. All such acts call for condemnation and need to be stopped. Innocent lives are being lost due to the mindless actions of such gun-toting elements. While we see such brutal incidents in the west, we need to look into our own country where humans are being killed as if they are cattle. While many are killed with sharp weapons there are those who are getting killed due to the carelessness of others. For instance, bike riders tripping over potholes in Mumbai and elsewhere are getting run over by oncoming vehicles. Ironically, instead of pulling up those responsible for constructing such poor quality roads, the authorities are pulling up the vehicles who run over the bikers. Sadly, at times, even the dead biker has been held responsible for rash driving. Does human life has any value, one wonders!
