PANAJIA carved cave has been spotted near the waterfall at Bicholim and locals are curious to know what it contains, and whether it has any association with the temple in the vicinity. The cave is located on the upper side of the waterfall and locals have contacted the experts to inquire more on their find. A local Shivdas Morajkar informed The Goan that the cave is situated close to the waterfall, and there is a temple nearby. “This cave seems to have importance as there is a temple in the area. So the department of Archives and Archaeology should visit the cave and try to find out about the historicity of it,” demanded the locals.
