Why is Minority Commission not being set up in Goa?

Transport & Panchayat Raj Minister Mauvin Godinho while speaking at the party headquarters in the city on Monday has said that there is no need to set up a Minority Commission in the state as he has claimed that the Pramod Sawant led government has long upheld equality and communal harmony across all sections in Goa. Well, if what Godinho has said is 100% true then why his government is still not giving Romi-Konkani equal official status along with Devanagari script Konkani in the Official Language Act, 1987? Why his government of late is refusing to give govt jobs for all the minorities in Goa? Why his government is giving a free hand today for goons belonging to some non-Goan right wing organisations to stop vehicles at the border and to even physically assault those transporting beef just to deprive minorities of beef in the state?  I think that Godinho needs to give some clear answers to the above questions. If his government is really not indulging in any sort of discrimination against the minorities based on religion then it should dare to set up a Minority Commission.
