The last time Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited Ribandar was in April 2019 during that campaign for Panaji Assembly by-election and he publicly cautioned the people of Ribandar by saying “Babush Monserrate is facing rape charges and if a rapist becomes your MLA, the ladies and girls of Ribandar will be so very unsafe”.
We are all eagerly waiting to see what Pramod Sawant will advise the people of Ribandar when he now visits us during the CCP election campaign. All that Sawant can possibly say is that he is sorry for a disgraceful U-Turn and come clean with the words “It is not me but Babush Monserrate who aborted that Ribandar Health Centre we had promised you”.
The people of Ribandar and Panjim have a right to understand why an important, worthwhile and much needed Ribandar Health Centre agreed by all in principle has been shelved.
For Babush Monserrate and his 30 candidates the writing is on the wall. Very loud and extremely clear. The people have had enough of the disgusting cheap and unethical politricks enveloped with all false and fake promises.
