Will your wise votes find justice for Goa?

Let me see if we can correlate the subject with our practical experience on recent hectic elections. Yes, it is true that the mindset to vote for a candidate who believes in democracy, ethics and is clean was intact. But confused by top party leaders from the Centre to local party heavy weights and politicians inviting us for a voting class at their own schedule time - we ran to make sure that we get a seat, listen to the stereotype talks that the other political party did nothing good for Goa. Some of us attended to see the politicians live or to get selfies. If you look at the bigger picture - parties must have done great in their parent state, but in Goa, most embraced goons, uneducated and defected candidates as they knew that we Goans only look for party affiliation or candidates with personal affection. Another scenario is about the Parish Priest who gave a good sermon on election and guided us with examples whom to vote. But this left us even more confused. Let's ask relatives, neighbours and friends whom they are voting for as we must vote said the Parish Priest. Next came the social media confusion - facebook, youtube, political singers and lastly the Hindi Khabar bee that stung in the last hour with so much of venom that we did not get good sleep in this overall confusion! In conclusion, we must admit that we Goans have allowed Goa to derail to such poor status, yet are confused after all the burns. If you allow others to rule your heart and mind, blindfolded to the atrocities, there is no need to blame anyone else. Don’t go far, just look at neighbouring Kerala, Telangana and yesterday's Tamil Nadu. Let's wait and watch until March 10 to see if the grey-pink notes or your wise votes have found justice for Goa!

The thin skinned Indian government lodged a strong protest against the Singaporean PM's comment on criminal charges including rape and murder against our lawmakers during a debate in their Parliament over the nuances of democracy. What got our sarkar's goat was that the Singaporean PM mentioned about Nehru's nation building skills and magnanimity still continuing to inspire world leaders. As usual, our government took umbrage to the facts stated about our MPs/MLAs and also…
