‘Hellhole’ repost: Why India must rethink its approach to Trump

President Donald Trump’s recent repost referring to India as a ‘hellhole’ and accusing Indian immigrants of “exploiting American birthright citizenship privileges by bringing in their entire families with no loyalty to America” is a serious action that needs to be condemned outright. It only exposes the double talk and back-stabbing of an egocentric person who cannot be trusted, as earlier he referred to India as a “great country with a good friend in Prime Minister Modi”. It is time for the Government of India to take serious note of this development and adopt a more cautious approach in future dealings with Trump.
