Any businesses including hotels in an area should also benefit the locals in the area; in addition to the State exchequer. Hence, I was shocked to know that there are certain hotels in Colva which are giving the taxi business only to taxi drivers, taxi companies from outside Colva. I request the Colva Panchayat to please consult with the villagers and address this issue urgently. The panchayat has the legal power to look at the interests of its residents first and hence must act accordingly.
