The Modi-led BJP government at the centre is reportedly getting all set to introduce the controversial amendments to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, or FCRA Bill in the ongoing monsoon session in Parliament to selectively target all Christian run institutions in the name of bringing accountability/transparency and with the sole intention of slowly taking over all church run properties, charitable organisations, old-age homes, schools/colleges, hospitals etc by branding the Christian community as a group of anti-nationals and falsely accusing them of misusing their foreign funds for running some forcible religious conversion rackets in India. Today, many Hindu religious/spiritual organisations like the 'Ramakrishna Mission', 'Art of Living Foundation', 'Isha Foundation', 'Chinmaya Mission' etc are also known for receiving foreign contributions through FCRA and running numerous secret missions in India & even converting gullible foreigners abroad. Now, why the government is not talking of keeping a strict check on their activities and doing the audit of their foreign funds as well through this same proposed bill? I think that the Modi government should give clear clarifications over the above proposed FCRA Bill to be tabled in Parliament.
