Dreadful end to a bull fight

A bullfight (dhirio) allegedly occurred on Benaulim beach, and the bull that was vanquished seems to have lost its senses, became ashamed, went berserk, ran into the raging sea, and lost its life. How were the powers that be unaware of the show on display in an open space, attended perhaps by tens of cheering people? For the record, the Colva police took in a person for questioning and are looking for a second one. This unfortunate incident could have been been avoided had the enthusiastic reel makers and Samaritans informed the local politicians, cops, NGOs or the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals about the ongoing bullfight.
