Angry Goans online are up in arms against the AAP-GFP alliance, critiquing them as weak parties seeking to split opposition votes. Too many cooks spoil the broth! AAP’s organisation in Goa is barely present beyond Congress seats. GFP centres on Vijay Sardesai with an arrogant approach. AAP’s Delhi politics clashes with GFP’s Goan regionalism. AAP has faced defections with MP Raghav Chadha and 7 MPs joining the BJP. GFP’s 2017 betrayal to join the BJP makes its lectures on defections nothing short of hypocrisy. Their faces look guilty. Observers project that INC-RGP will now win Velim and Benaulim, and GFP will struggle in Fatorda. AAP-GFP couldn’t care less, as long as votes are split and INC is defeated. That’s their tone currently. Vijay is trying to imitate Thalapathy Vijay and wishes to be CM with his single seat, AAP needs 6 per cent vote share to protect its national party status. The biggest issue is land sale, environment and Goan identity. Goans must think wisely and vote.
