Indian pugilists put up a stupendous performance in the Commonwealth Games Boxing event with seven Indian boxers having won gold medals and three of them silver medals to dominate boxing among all the nations that participated. Jaismine Lamboria, (57kg) Sakshi Chaudhary, (51kg) Arundhati Choudhary, (70kg) Preeti Pawar, (54kg) and Priya Ghanghas, (60kg) shone each claiming a gold each in the women's event. Sachin Siwach, (60kg) and Ankush Pangal, (80kg) lifted the yellow medal in the men's events. Lovlina Borgohain, (75kg) Jadumani Singh, (55kg) and Narendra Berwal, (90kg) won a silver medal each to take India's tally to a formidable ten medals among the fourteen boxers that participated in the games. This was India's best showing ever in the Commonwealth Games history. Congratulations to all the winners as well as the coaches, managers and the entire Indian boxing contingent.
