As per regulations, in CRZ-3 , no construction is permitted within 200 mts of the High Tide Line ( HTL) , it being earmarked as a 'No Development Zone' but illegal building activity is taking place with impunity on the Sernabatim beach to Benaulim beach stretch. A two-storey permanent structure is already visible right on the beach and other constructions are going on screened by black drapes. More such examples are seen on the South Goa coast. It would be prudent if the police conducts a survey soonest and puts a stop to such illegalities.
