Inconsequential issues taking centre stage

The BJP recently condemned Congress for its decision to sing just two stanzas of Vande Mataram at its events and vowed to protect the dignity and the national status of the full version of the national song. In a resolution passed at a meeting of its core committee members, the ruling party declared that it will launch a pan India campaign to emphasise the importance of Vande Mataram. This is just a last ditch pathetic attempt by PM Modi to save his kursi by polarising voters for electoral benefit. There are many, many real issues that the government must address, for instance the pathetic state of government schools across the country, crumbling infrastructure,  poor healthcare, corruption, unemployment, youth frustration, price rise etc. instead of spending time in name calling citizens (Dimagi Naxals, Urban Naxals, Soros Funded agents, Khalistanis etc.) or debating how many stanzas of a patriotic song must be sung and who said what in 1937. Nonsensical issues are taking centre stage.
