It is amusing and sad to see elderly politicians, including those who have switched from Congress to BJP, clamouring for election tickets despite their advancing age—some with “one foot in the coffin and the other outside.” Perhaps their election symbol should be a coffin, so they can finally rest in peace. It’s time for these senior leaders to relax, enjoy time with their grandchildren, and prioritize their health. Repeated hospital admissions are not a sign of strong leadership. Please do not believe that Goa’s politics will stall or collapse without you. Many former Congress leaders laid the foundation for key projects like Mopa Airport, Konkan Railway, and vital bridges—initiatives that the current BJP government is merely following. Unfortunately, when it comes to exploiting Goa and its people, politicians from all parties seem to be on the same team, deceiving the public for their own greed. But excessive greed is harmful—not just to Goa, but to your own health. Remember, money remains in this world long after we are gone, but we do not.
