PANAJI: Goa Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to the state on August 26 and 27 for the inauguration of the Hutatma Smruti Smarak at Patradevi.
Today the traffic along the Mopa Airport-Patradevi-Dona Paula route will be restricted or regulated between 5 pm and 9 pm, as required. Commuters heading to Mopa Airport have been advised to use the Colvale-Pirna-Nagzar-Mopa Airport route.
Tomorrow the traffic along the Dona Paula-GMC-H-66-Zuari Bridge-Cortalim Circle-Chicalim Circle-Dabolim Airport route will be regulated between 9 am and 11 am on a need basis. Passengers travelling to Dabolim Airport have been advised to use the Verna-MES Junction-Vales Junction-Dabolim Airport route.
Traffic Police said vehicles may be temporarily stopped or diverted along the VVIP route depending on security requirements. Commuters have been urged to plan their journeys in advance, allow additional travel time and avoid parking along the designated route.
Emergency vehicles, including ambulances carrying patients, will be permitted subject to security considerations.
