The Congress-led “Goy Rakhonn Yatra” raises an important question—does it truly serve the people of Goa? In the past, voters elected Congress MLAs in large numbers, only to see many defect to BJP, betraying public trust in the name of development and greed. This is not the first time; it has happened repeatedly. If history repeats itself and elected representatives jump parties again, who will be held accountable? What action will political parties take against these betrayers when the law often favours the defectors rather than the citizens? Political yatras, regardless of the party, neither solve real problems nor address the pressing needs of Goans. They are mere spectacles wasting precious time and public money. Boasting about winning all 27 seats is wishful thinking, bordering on arrogance. Instead of empty promises and showmanship, parties must focus on genuine hard work and deliver tangible results for Goa and its people. People should not fall in these traps.
