Educational institutions should remain free from political, ideological, and communal activities. Schools and colleges exist to provide quality education, promote critical thinking, and nurture students in a safe, inclusive, and unbiased environment. Allowing campuses to be used for political or religious agendas risks creating division, disrupting academic life, and distracting students from their primary purpose of learning. Several state governments have already framed rules prohibiting educational institutions from hosting political, ideological, communal, or other divisive events. Such measures help prevent outside groups from using school campuses for propaganda and ensure that educational infrastructure is reserved for academic instruction, co-curricular and extracurricular activities, student welfare programmes, and official institutional functions. Educational institutions should encourage knowledge, scientific temper, and independent thinking rather than exposing students to influences that may polarise young minds. The government and educational authorities must strictly enforce policies that keep schools and colleges free from non-academic interference. Preserving the neutrality of educational institutions is essential for safeguarding the interests of students and maintaining the true purpose of education.
