Let's get a reality check on GDP growth rate

Let's all get a reality check. 23.2 crore Indians live below the Rs 82 per day poverty threshold. 3.5 crore survive below Rs 58 per day. 83 crore Indians subsist on 5 kg of ration doled out by the government. Yet we celebrate GDP growth, growth for whom? Unless you buy into into propaganda or are retarded how could you miss this ? 2.6 % extreme poverty rate, 50 crores lifted out of abject poverty ?  Unbelievable ! In Andhra Pradesh, a poor tribal mother carried her 12-year-old daughter on her shoulders for 7 km to reach a hospital after rains cut off road access. A road sanctioned 8 years ago remains incomplete. Children routinely risk their lives crossing swollen rivers to reach schools which have a single teacher and no support staff. For how long will basic roads, education and healthcare remain a distant dream for Indians ? Did someone exult over 7.8% GDP growth rate from a foreign land? This is beyond shame.
