For months now I have been following a prominent activist exposing various illegalities, "questionable" development/projects and environmental destruction at Cavelossim. The Cavelossim panchayat appears complicit, with their blind eye to the same, questionable permissions for various real estate activities and highly delayed or even no inspections by the panchayat; despite repeated reminders by the said activist. I also followed the videos/news of the Cavelossim Panchayat incident where the Sarpanch, secretary and select panchas got an FIR filed at Colva Police Station, against this activist for trespassing at a Panchayat. All this only increases my suspicions on the actual intent of the Cavelossim Sarpanch and his panchayat. Even if I say, my suspicions are not true then the buck still stops at the door of the Cavelossim Sarpanch/Panchayat for not addressing the serious complaints of destruction, corruption, and irregularities in Cavelossim.
