This is with reference to the Editorial: Porvorim flyover brings wave of relief, but….. - The Goan Everyday - September 10, 2026. That was a thought provoking editorial. Flyovers are being built in Goa and other cities supposedly to ease traffic congestion. But, sadly, the reality seems different. Your editorial has raised several valid points like the congestion at both the ends of the flyover, impact on the roadside businesses, etc. And, what about the quality of the flyover? It seems like a familiar story. So, where do we go from here? The editorial rightly points out, while the road has risen over Porvorim, some of its traffic problems have merely moved elsewhere. As we are witnessing in Mumbai, no amount of flyovers can help ease traffic congestion in the city. The authorities must come up with some realistic, practical solutions.
