In a unique way of learning about the history of France from 4th century BC to the 1980s, Alliance Francaise, Panaji has organised an exhibition 'The History of France in Advertising’, composed of posters, newspaper advertisements and labels of drinks and cheese. The exhibition which was put together by the Mairie de Paris (Townhall) and the Bibliothèque de Paris (Library) in Paris was brought to India last September before making a stop in Goa this July. Charlemange, the Emperor with the Flowered Beard’; Joan of Arc; The French Revolution etc constitute the various segments of the exhibition.
