Adele may have earned a position as one of the most significant musicians in modern history, but music wasn't always on her mind. "When I was younger I wanted to be a heart surgeon because my grandad died," she explained. "For a few years I put my mind to it that I was going to be a real heart surgeon and then I went to school, got to 13 and I was like, 'Nah, I ain’t doing that'. "I think that anyone that commits themselves (to medicine) is, like, a don at that kind of thing. I lost interest in it."
