VALPOI
Both boys and girls teams from SKK High school, Ponda bagged first place in 5th sub-junior throwball championship organised by Amateur Throwball Association Goa, (ATAG) at forest training school grounds, Valpoi recently.
In the senior category ‘Live-It’ Sports Club, Valpoi bagged the championship in boys category while Northirytes, Mapusa secured first place in girls category.
Around 700 participants from all over the State participated in the tournament which was held in two-categories. Valpoi Muncipal Council chairperson Ramdas Shirodkar and Valpoi PI Sanjay Dalvi gave away the trophies to the winning teams. ATAG's Vice-President Nasir Khan, secretary, Sayyad Sarfaraz, Jt-treasurer, Abdulla Khan and members Fairoz Khan, Hanif Shaikh, Aktar Shah, Arshad Shaikh, Abdul Rehman Khan and Aiyaz Aga were also present.
