Serendipity Arts Trust, a Munjal initiative for the promotion of creativity and imagination in arts and culture, will be organising Serendipity Arts Festival from December 16 “ 23, 2016 with an aim to bind and promote art and culture that is unique to the various geographies in the sub-continent, on a single collaborative platform The programmes will be held at six different venues, namely “ The Adil Shah, Jardin Garcia d’Orta, Entertainment Society of Goa, Kala Academy, Bandodkar Ground and SAG Ground.
The festival will be curated by a panel of experts spanning all the major disciplines “ the performing arts, visual arts, and culinary arts
Under the visual arts spectrum, the curatorial body encompasses the likes of Jyotindra Jain,recipient of the Prince Claus Awards and visiting Professor at the Center for the Study for World Religions, Harvard University and Manjari Nirula, Vice-President of World Crafts Council Asia-Pacific Region and the Crafts Council of India. They are joined by Dinesh Khanna, co-founder of the Delhi Photo Festival and Prashant Panjiar, photojournalist and photographer who has served on the jury of the World Press Photo Awards. Celebrated curators Riyas Komu, co-founder and secretary of the Kochi Biennale Foundation and Ranjit Hoskote, celebrated poet and cultural theorist are also a part of the panel.
The curators for performing arts include, Sanjeev Bhargava, cultural honcho and founder and director of Seher and Tanusree Sankar, internationally acclaimed dancer. Lending their musical expertise will be Ranjit Barot, globally recognized drummer, singer, music composer and music director, and Shubha Mudgal, acclaimed Indian classical singer and music composer. Anuradha Kapur, renowned theatre personality and Sangeet Natak Awardee and Lillete Dubey, actor and theatre director, will curate the theatre acts. The culinary arts brandwagon will be led by celebrated Chef Manu Chandra and Odette Mascarenhas, food columnist and founder of Goan Culinary Club.
