Popular TV show "Balika Vadhu", starring Toral Rasputra in the lead, has become the first drama series to cross the 2000 episode landmark. The Colors' show features various social issues including child marriage, domestic abuse and marital rape. It showcased the realities of rural India and took a stand towards women empowerment. Since its launch in 2008, "Balika Vadhu" struck a chord with audience for its strong storyline and powerful performances. To kick off the 2000 episode celebrations, the channel has organised an all-India photography initiative on social media, and invited viewers to share some of their most precious moments commemorating the mother-child relationship.
