While most people would be happy brewing a new kind of beer and sharing it all around, a group of engineering students have got it into their heads that perhaps we need to really go universal with the beer love. The youngsters from University of California, San Diego want to brew beer on the moon, all in the name of science, or so they say. The team has entered a competition to fly to the surface of the moon with TeamIndus ”one of the teams competing in the Google Lunar X Prize competition”before the end of this year. They state that this enable them to understand more about the viability of yeast in outer space.
