The 9th season of Bigg Boss, with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as the host, will go on air from October 11. The first episode, which will reveal all the contestants on the show, will be aired at 9 pm ISTafter which the show will air between 10:30 pm to 11:30 pm everyday.
According to sources, the change from prime time to late night is because the show is considered to be inappropriate for normal family viewing.
The first season of Bigg Boss was hosted by Arshad Warsi, followed by Shilpa Shetty and Amitabh Bachchan for Season 2 and 3 respectively. Since then, it has been Salman Khan all the way, as the superstar will be hosting his 6th consecutive season as Bigg Boss host. Salman’s stint as Bigg Boss host coincides with his ming-boggling run at the box office, which also began from 2010 when ‘Dabangg’ released in theatres.
