The advent of the internet brought with it the constant pressure on women to be perfect, what with products being advertised left, right and centre. Perfect hair, perfect makeup and perfect clothes all the time. With that comes body-shaming. A curve out of place, a slight bulge or a wrinkle can get you a lot of shame on the internet. Comedian Bharti Singh's new ad is the lesson we need against body shaming. In the advertisement which has her promoting body lotion, she says that though she has always been applauded for her comedic talents, no one had ever called her beautiful.
