Love Peace and Unity was the theme for the celebration of Founder’s Day at Big Foot, Loutolim. Multiple pieces of cloth were collected from the households of various senior citizens in Loutolim and school students visiting Ancestral Goa were stitched together in a colourful quilt, each square of fabric contains a message of goodwill. This installation was later displayed at the exhibition venue, it resembles the coming together of many minds to contribute towards peace.
Also on display were photographs by various renowned photographers from Goa based on the theme of unity and paintings by Maendra Alvares, proprietor Big Foot.”At the Big Foot, we go beyond the conservation of cultural integrity, we preserve the essence of what it truly means to be Goan. Our strength lies in our tolerance, the respect we have for our fellow Goemkars and our love for the land,” said Alvares about the celebration. The exhibition will remain open till May 10.
