Konkani Cinema is a treasure linked to our cultural heritage, art and lifestyle. Cinema is a reflection of the times we live in and consequently, cinema also impacts society. In the recent times Goa has seen a revival of Konkani cinema.
The website www.konkanicinema.com will take one through the literal, intellectually and nostalgic journey of Konkani Cinema. The website was launched at the hands of Fr Bernardine Rector, Fr Allwyn, director, Don Bosco College of agriculture; Rajesh, food and beverages director, Radisson Blu; Mahesh, executive chef, Radisson Blu and David de Souza, publisher of the website. A Coffee Table book on Konkani Cinema is to follow.
Thanks to the efforts of Isidore Dantas, author, translator and lexicographer, this website which is a treasure-trove of Konkani cinema, has been put together. Dantas has authored five books, translated two books and co-authored an English-to-Konkani dictionary.
