You will have to take the chance of waiting in queue for a bit, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Ritz Classic is one of three joints, run by the same management which specialize in fish meals, especially fish thalis for lunch. The one which we would recommend is located at the Patto Plaza, which has significantly more covers than the other two and has ample parking too.

Casa Bhonsle
Started a couple of years ago, Casa Bhonsle is yet another premium fish thali joint in the heart of Panaji. Located just above the legendary Café Bhonsle, a vegetarian café which has stood the test of time and generations, Casa Bhonsle vouches to do the same vis a vis non vegetarian, especially fish-oriented cuisine. The thali may be slightly more modest in spread, compared to the one at Ritz Classic, but is vouched for by locals. Also its convenient location is an added plus.

Anandashram
This food joint started as a modest fish thali meal outlet, but over the years has turned out to be a popular hole-in-the-wall joint. Located in one of those tiny lanes, opposite the casinos jetties in Panaji, Anandashram serves a great fish thali to hungry office-goers and fish enthusiasts. The thali is comprehensive and ample. Do not forget to gulp down the kokum digestive after your meal there.

Peep’s Kitchen
The fish thali at Peep’s Kitchen in Caranzalem has grown into a popular stop for locals and tourists alike owning to the popularity of the square meal served in a plate. Located next to a small chapel in Caranzalem, the eatery has an outdoor space and an indoor AC restaurant. While the menu is extensive, the most ordered lunch at the restaurant is the fish thali.
