Nawazuddin gets freaky

While the film didn't do that well at the box office, the film promotion was particularly interesting as Nawaz was spotted at the Char Minar, Hyderabad selling underwear much like the character in his film. The film also starred Arbaaz Khan and Amy Jackson in pivotal roles.

Bye bye evil eye

Actress Bipasha Basu who has quite the liking for horror films promoted her film Raaz 3 by distributing neembu-mirchis to Mumbai auto-walas. Although there is no knowing whether the auto-walas did manage to keep the evil eye at bay, they sure did work for Bips whose film did pretty well.

Vidya decides to beg

Iconic actress Vidya Balan has definitely had some unique promotion experiences so far. While promoting her film 'Bobby Jasoos', the actress dressed up as a beggar and sat down among the beggars outside Hyderabad Railway Station fooling quite a few people. In fact she did the same in Mumbai leaving Hrithik Roshan who failed to recognise her pretty confused.

The Ghajini look

The Ghajini look went viral after the film came out and it was all thanks to Aamir's unique way of promoting the film. The actor managed to get the entire staff of big cinemas across the country to sport the look. No wonder, that the trend soon caught on among Bollywood fans everywhere after that.

A cup of Salman

His name itself is enough to draw big crowds to the theatre. However, the makers of Jai Ho did resort to a unique way to create a buzz about the film. During the theatrical run of Jai Ho, the actor’s fans had a chance to walk up to cafeterias at multiplexes across the country and ask for a steaming hot ‘cup of Salman Khan’. This was basically a cappuccino which was named after a star. The makers admitted that since the actor was coming back to screen after a whole year, they wanted to add to the experience of the eagerly awaiting audience.

Ranbir got married!

Not sure how many people know this but the actor already got married awhile ago. Ranbir Kappor and Priyanka Chopra were going around promoting their film Anjaana Anjaani on the television show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar’ on Zee TV. When one of the female contestants proposed marriage to him.And surprise of surprises the actor agreed and the mock marriage was held on the spot. Garlands were brought in and Ranbir was made to wear a sehra. All the judges with actress Priyanka Chopra and director Siddharth Anand were witness to it.

SRK's house was vandalised

Fans of the mega star was shocked when the star took to Twitter to express his anger at finding his house messed with and the words “Love you SRK” and “C u on 15th” scribbled on the walls. “U can’t leave ur house for a day without sum one messing with it!! Shocked!!!” he tweeted. Considering how big the star is, fans didn't see any reason to doubt that this crime has indeed taken place. However it was soon revealed that it was just a cunning promotional stunt for his upcoming film Fan, in which his character, named Gaurav, is the biggest fan of the world’s biggest superstar. Apart from this, the makers also held a contest to find out the biggest fan of SRK from all over the country. Letters from SRK's fans from all nooks and corners were called out for. Out of these letters the best one were read out by Shah Rukh Khan himself in a video.

Selfie le le

The Salman Khan and Kareena Kappor film Bajrangi Baijan created a lot of buzz owing to the Pakistani and India content. But to make things more interesting, the actor took to Twitter to star a selfie contest, in which contestants had to post pictures of themselves, some of which were featured in a remix of Selfie Le Le Re, the film’s opening song.
