Goa College of Art has in the past groomed many a brilliant artistes across genres and artistic mediums. It has also been a healthy repository of art, which represents a potentially huge pool of artistic talent as well as works of art.

This is exactly what makes the Annual Art Exhibition organized by Goa College of Art at its campus in Altinho hilltop in Panaji a must-visit place for art aficionados as well as those interested in investing in art.

The art exhibition which is already underway from March 15, is a summation of the art work produced by students of the college during the academic year covering various subjects taught under Applied Art and Painting.

It will exhibit an array of designs created by the media, photography, illustrations and short films to drawings, landscapes, portraits, still life studies, paintings and sculpture, and more.

Many an artistic treasures have been discovered at just such events where young artists with immense talent first make their works public. You really never know what gem awaits you at such an event. If you have an eye for art, this is one place you must visit.

The exhibition will be on view for public between 10.30 am. and 5.00 pm. on all days (except Sunday) from March 15 to March 23.

They toil in the heat all day long, often walking on foot for long distances hoping for just a few customers to buy their goods. But many a times, their efforts go in vain as people rudely brush them aside and heave insults upon them. Yet, each morning these street sellers have no choice but to get up and continue this tireless routine in the hope of earning enough to enjoy a day's meal. Pained at their sad plight, youngster Ishita Godinho was moved to do something about it.…
