From Rima Dhume Laud's strong colour and vivid imagery that gives her artwork (large looming trees with hues of browns and greens, dilapidated walls full of architectural perspectives) great depth, Medha Monteiro pastel captures of nature and wilderness and Lucia de Sousa's architectural landscapes of the state's heritage spaces, this group exhibition at Carpe Diem, Majorda is a trip down memory lane of a Goa that is fast disappearing.

Each artist has their own mix of styles, and as a group have explored various mediums keeping the theme of Goa in a way many of us would like to remember it.

Goans give the religious aspects of their culture great importance and this can be seen in the use of crosses, temple spaces and tulsi plants in Medha's canvasses. Lucia's photographic visuals villagers are busy with their daily routines of fishing, transporting flowers via waterways in serene environments on the other hand are also extremely detailed and beautifully done.

The women are showcasing their artwork in a group exhibition titled Lumiere till November 18.
