Swift has also released an album every other fall since 2006, meaning she's due for one anytime now. Tom joins major league
Some theorists suggest that although he isn't new to Hollywood, he has not yet achieved superstardom and has instead toiled in supporting blockbuster roles for years now. There was also the tiny but important fact that his name was at one point in running for the James Bond role. And with him urging Taylor to be as public as possible with their relationship, add weightage to this theory, they believe.

Some believe that Taylor was just dying to be next Bond girl and cozying up to a rumoured Bond casting could make the dream happen if Tom did in truth lend the job. Once Tom was out of contention, it didn't make sense to continue being together.
Idris Elba - the puppet master
Taylor Swift and Idris Elba were the co-chairs for The Met Gala which is said to be the first time that the couple met. With Elba also in running for the part of James Bond it would make sense to get his competition i.e. Hiddleston out of the race by throwing him into a media circus. So, as per this theory, Idris Elba actually introduced Taylor and Tom at the Met Gala, in hopes that they would hit it off, act completely gauche, and ruin Tom's chances of the big role.
