Captured by : pick of the day 2

Here’s a great opportunity to burn some calories, have fun, make friends and have a jolly good time.

SeekSherpa is organizing cycling tours on mountain bikes from February 15 to 29; which promise to pump up your adrenaline, while you pedal your way through the hills, forests, fishing villages and small hamlets around the Goan countryside.

The organisers of the event claim that this is one of the finest ways to discover Goa, which is normally associated with the hectic activity at the Candolim-Sinquerim beach belt, which is a buzz of beach and nightlife activity.

The cycling tour starts from Amigos, a popular restaurant located under the Nerul Bridge. Offered on the platter for bikers is a visual treat which includes a light house, Aguada Fort, churches, mangroves, stunning creeks and the winding lanes of Goa. And once you are soaked in sweat and tired down to the bone, there’s some delicious Goan snacks to be had at Amigos.

Only those above 13 years are allowed on the tour and those under 18 years are expected to be escorted by parents or guardians. And of course helmets are compulsory. The organizers also advise that only those bikers confident of negotiating traffic, hilly tracks, inclines, downhill slides should sign up for this exciting adventure.
