Asia's largest biking festival India Bike Week is all set to return to Goa and promises to be the biggest edition yet with over 12000 bikes from India and overseas expected at the event. The two day event which will be begin on February 19 will be held at the Arpora Sporting Ground. Headlining this year’s India Bike Week is a Moto Trials Show, featuring for the first time ever the international sensation and undisputed King of Trials, Dougie Lampkin. India’s finest off-road racer, C S Santosh will also be at the event and will host a CEAT safety session for the crowd, offering key insights into the riding safety drawn from his rich history and experience at national and international rides. This year India Bike Week 2016 is also set to host India’s first ever official Hard Enduro event as the Dirty20 Enduro Challenge. The event is open for general participation by amateur teams, testing man and machine to their limits, standing a chance to win a trophy to go with a cash prize of Rs 75,000.
Also a grand premier to special attractions, India Bike Week 2016 is launching the IBW Main Street. Main Street is India’s ‘Rio Carnival’ for bikers to parade through, bring together all of the colour, music, and celebration of the festival.
Adding an artistic element to the main event, India Bike Week 2016 will be featuring its first ever film festival with Imtiaz Ali as a part of the judges panel. Some big names in music like MIDIval Punditz, Thaalavattam, and Soulmate will also be performing. Apart from this the old traditional events like the Bikini Bike Wash, National Custom Bike Build-Offs, National Stunt Championship, the Biking Legends and Honour Roll session and International Bike Expos will also be a part of the event.
Additionally, Harley-Davidson and DSK Benelli have mystery bike unveilings planned for the event, while Triumph has announced the Indian premiere of the new Bonneville Street Twin.
