The second Vice District Governor MJF Sashindaran Nair installed the BoD and 10 new members were inducted in the club at the hands of MJF Lion Kumaran Pillai (MTL), in the presence of Chief Guest Sandeep Bhandari, President of Goa Chamber Of Commerce And Industries.
Mrs Fiola Rego, Ex chairperson of Mormugao Municipal Council, was installed as the president along with other board of directors .
Mr Narayan Bandekar , who is also the advisor of the club has offered to sponsor mobile morgue for the club.
Ex Revenue Minister,Jose Philip DSouza who was present for the functiona nd he congratulated the newly inducted President Fiola Rego on the occasion.
"My personal wish is to do something for the community and I plan to have a recreational place for senior citizens in Vasco with the help of Mr Narayan Bandekar" said Fiola, while speaking on the occasion.
Fiola Rego has been active in the fields of cultural,social and education for the past many years.
Fiola who joined the Lions club of Chicalim and Bogmalo in the year 2014 has been the chairperson of the carnival organising committee,Vasco and chairperson of Mormugao Municipal Council in 2013.
The Mormugao Municipal councillor who was elected in 2010 also held an important position as the Co Chairperson of GCCI women's wing in 2015.
