Lisa Edelstein has revealed that she was almost cast as the iconic tutu wearing writer Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. In fact, she was so close to the role that she had a deal in place and everything. There was just one problem, and her name was Sarah Jessica Parker. "I was either going to do it or not. It all depended on whether she said yes," Edelstein said. "My contract was complete. I was waiting." Unfortunately, losing out on a role like that made it impossible for Edelstein to watch and enjoy the HBO series, which ran from 1998 to 2004, because it was "too painful."
