It’s raining comedies apparently. This one though has a few good talents on display. In Keeping Up With The Joneses, Isla Fisher (Now You See Me, Confessions of a Shopaholic) and Zach Galifinakis (The Hangover movies) are a ‘boring’ married couple who get very suspicious when a perfect couple, played by Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and Jon Hamm (Mad Men) move in next door. It’s all rosy until Fisher starts getting suspicious about their neighbours ‘perfect’ life. The boring couple breaks in to find out that the hot couple are not who they say they are. Yes, you guessed right, they are spies. But obviously! Who else could they be? This is a Hollywood comedy starring the weird guy from The Hangover and Sacha Baron Cohen a.k.a Ali G a.k.a Borat’s wife. It’s not going to make sense, nothing ever will, until you see Gal Gadot in lingerie. Then you forget how bad the movie could be. So, some more comedy, Galifinakis acting his stupid and nerdy self, and Jon Hamm being his broody self. Talk about stereotypical casting. Okay, we’ll admit Hamm isn’t as hammy as he was in Mad Men (see what we did there?) but still. This may turn out to be interesting, or it may just bomb. Seriously, what is Gal Gadot doing here, she’s Wonder Woman for crying out loud.
