In the middle of long-awaited superhero and sci-fi flicks comes an old standard, the slasher flick. There’s been a rejuvenation of sorts, when it comes to the horror genre, in recent times. But, not too many have ventured back into the slasher genre, especially if your name isn’t Wes Craven. The Wolves at the Door is a little bit slasher flick, a little bit horror, a dash of the home invasion genre and lots of screaming, of the scary kind. Inspired by the Manson Family murders, when members of the Charles Manson cult invaded the home of Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski; Tate was entertaining three friends that night. They were all shot and stabbed to death. Polanski was directing a movie in Europe at the time.
This movie is along the same lines, although there will be no mention of the Manson Family. Katie Cassidy, well-known for role as the Black Canary in the Arrowverse and Elizabeth Henstridge, better known as Jemma Simmons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, both play the lead roles in the film. Then, four people appear on the laws outside their house, well-armed. What happens next? Watch the film to find out.
