I have potty trained my dog, but I hate having to climb up and down three floors every time he needs to do his thing. Is there anyone or any way to train him to do his thing in the loo? If he can learn to flush too well and good, considering he can open latches on doors, but even if he can’t someone can flush for him. How do I solve this dilemma?
Robert
Hey Robert. I’m going to call you Bob. So, tell me, when did you get back from Narnia? I only ask this because you want your dog to do things that no dogs have ever done. I could be wrong, but if you want your dog to do his business in your loo, and perhaps even flush, then you are surely living in another world. At this point in time, picture Brian the dog from Family Guy giving you a weird look and saying “You know this is a cartoon, right idiot?” Okay, for the record Bob, he called you idiot, not me. You could teach your dog new tricks, but you’ll have to do it in Narnia. What I would suggest is, try opening doors to whatever cupboards you find, close your eyes and rush right in. You will find that doorway old boy, you sure will.
Dear Antsy Uncle
I’m fed up with life. It’s so hard. I don’t think it’s a good idea to try so hard, we only end up failing. Do everyone feel like this, or is it just me?
Dinah D
Dinah. You seem to be going through something tough. All of us have been where you are and we’ve not just lived to tell the tale but we’ve persevered. When I was younger, the adults in my family were fascinated by The Bold and the Beautiful. I didn’t really get that show, although a few of the actresses were quite hot. But, this one time, I was around when my mother was watching the show, along with an aunt, and one of the characters (I think her name was Stephanie) said something that stuck with me “ “Perseverance leads to success.” Of course, I was going out to a party with my girlfriend, so I didn’t pay much attention to that line at the time, but I realized later that the lady was right. None of us have it easy. In fact, those who have it easy are just riding on the backs of those before them who toiled day and night to give their children an easy life. No one learns much about life by getting anything easy. Which is why actors like Salman Khan are such poor role models to most intelligent children today. Stand fast and stay strong. And no, I did NOT watch The Bold and the Beautiful on the quiet. HOW DARE YOU? Okay, I forgive you.
My friend Christopher is in love with Alia Bhatt. He stalks her on social media, knows where she is every day and even took all of us on a wild goose chase once when she posted a pic from Goa. He visited every beach in the area and kept on asking people what part of the local beach she had taken the picture from. How do I explain to him that he needs to relax? Stars aren’t always the same way in real life, like the way they are in movies? He thinks she’s exactly the girl she is in Student of The Year, which is his favorite movie.
Concerned pal
Wow. Alia Bhatt eh? She’s the one who put her foot in her mouth on Karan Johar’s show right? Stars are never the same in real life. This one time, I ran into one of the Bollywood actors at a party place here in Goa, so I thought I’d go up and make conversation. It was the most boring 10 second conversation I have ever had. I ran away from there. I understand being a die-hard fan, but running around Goa looking for someone is taking things a little too far. I don’t think there’s any way for him to realise this, unless he either meets her or gets a girlfriend. My wife hissed every time I mentioned Meg Ryan. I don’t even think of her now. Meg Ryan that is, not my wife. Oh, has your friend seen Udta Punjab yet?
